After 17 years in which we study an instrument, it feels almost compelled to explore other areas, strong experience and desire to discover naturally inclined to play even more.
You are no longer the subject of newbies, so we think that not having the problem of reading music and music theory, the road will be down and learn to play a new instrument will be a breeze.

'm back from my third drum lesson and my self esteem has fallen dismally to peak by the middle of the second.
The first few times you sit in front of a battery, the feeling of loss is overwhelming and you can not help but ask "What can I do with all 'that stuff?". To play a cello are:
1) A cello
2) An arc
and each of these two elements has a clear role and specific (to no one, I believe, would think to hold the bow still and moving cello)
A battery, at best, consists of:
1) Snare
2) Charleston
3) TOM1
4) TOM2
5) Timpano
6) Crash
7) Ride
8) Cash
And this is just a set "base". You wonder how a single able bodied person playing all these things.
Even the nomenclature is there to help, despite the two Tom, especially if taken close together, can give the illusion that we can better target ...
Not to mention the technical terminology. I defy anyone to being asked to make a "fill in the ride" or "a roll on the toms" without a question mark tattooed on your face!
So, while not underestimate the fact that such an instrument must use all four limbs simultaneously, which are completely different things and, if possible, sharp contrast with others. The
already forcing my single neuron to a split personality is not indifferent. As long as it is of the upper limbs, however, we do not deviate too much from a string instrument.
